92 Points Mike Bennie WBM Magazine Five Star Rated, Winestate Magazine Awarded a Silver Medal at the 2020 New York International Wine Competition (93 points) I create my Merlot from two small parcels of fruit grown by the dedicated Ward and Kraft families in the Barossa Valley. There is a long history of Merlot making in my family and I want to showcase Merlot's classic dark cherry, blueberry and plum flavours, along with its soft silky tannins. I have so many fond memories of creating Luxury Merlots with my father, that it would be impossible to complete my Art Collection without expressing my own take on this often mis-understood variety. I have developed many wine making techniques over decades, that lead to luscious styles with ripe, full flavours and soft tannins. |
